1. Info Planet Studio ditubuhkan pada 13 Januari 2010. Kitorg fokus pada penerbitan video, audio dan juga multimedia serta grafik.
2. Memang banyak competitor, tapi bagi aku setiap orang itu ada kelainannya. Ada orang guna kamera jenis lain dan juga editing jenis lain, dan sudah tentu hasil akhirnya akan memberikan kualiti hasil yang berbeza-beza.
3. Contohnya, aku banyak buat kerja editing guna software vegas manakala kebanyakan pesaing yang ada guna FCP atau edius. Susah betul aku nak cari orang yang guna vegas, namun itulah yang aku cuba jadikan niche.
4. Biar mereka guna software editing yang well known, manakala aku pula tergolong dalam kumpulan minoriti yang gunakan software yang tidak well known kerana aku positif dalam bidang ini.
5. Untuk pengetahuan, aku sebenarnya bermula dari atas. Iaitu menjadi seorang producer. Tahun 1995, aku buat vendor drama dengan HVD, aku jadi producer. Kalau ada sesiapa yang ingat, masa itu banyak skrip dari Taiwan dari Hong Kong etc yang diimport dan ditukar skripnya menjadi Bahasa Melayu. Itulah job yang aku dapat dulu ... hehehe.. itu sebab ceritanya tungang langgang dan bahasa yang digunakan entah apa-apa.
6. Lepas tu tahun 1996 sampai 2000, aku kerja buat dokumentari dengan Young Asia TV. Di sinilah titik permulaannya. Banyak topik aku cover di Malaysia dan semuanya untuk tontonan mereka di Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet dan negara2 berhampiran dengannya.
7. Di situ aku digelar Program Maker, bukannya Producer atau Director atau pangkat yang seangkatan dengannya. Kerja Program Maker ni, aku kena cari bahan, aku kena kena tulis skrip, aku kena cari talent, aku kena buat bajet, aku kena direct, aku kena buat tape logging dan aku kena duduk dengan editor untuk pilih shot. Itu jam edit pakai DFS100, analog editing machine. Salah sikit je, kena buat balik, kalau tidak, gambar drop.
8. Disebabkan aku ni degil dan lebih berminat menghasilkan produk daripada buat kerja admin, maka aku belajar cara operate kamera dan cara guna DFS100. Itu jam ada org putih bagi aku peluang untuk bawak kamera sendiri pergi shoot aksi seorang stuntman Malaysia di Lata Kinjang.
9. Ada cameraman, Taju dan Helmi, dan juga editor, Abg Zul, SengWai dan Alex kerja di situ dan aku juga banyak belajar dari mereka. And not to forget the Head Of Production waktu itu, AngNei. Thank you guys.
10. Dari situ, aku hidup dengan dunia aku sendiri. Aku passion tentang videoworks dan menghasilkan sesuatu.
11. Tahun 2000, gawat. Aku kerja buat sales pulak. Pun bermula dari zero. Tapi aku belajar cara-cara menjual produk yang berharga RM10k dalam masa 3 jam dan aku berjaya menjual kepada pelanggan pertama. Itulah saat yang paling gembira. 1st customer, 1st deal !!!
12. Bukan nak tunjuk terror, tapi point aku - Kalau kita positif, yakin dengan apa yang kita ada, kita tahu setakat mana kemampuan kita, just go for it. No one will stop you, KECUALI mereka yang tidak mahu melihat kita lebih maju dari diri mereka dan cemburu dengan apa yang kita ada.
13. So, be positive, appreciate what you have and do what you want to lead a better life. Aku sedia untuk berkongsi pengalaman aku yang tak seberapa ini dan juga pengetahuan aku tentang videografi dan editing kepada mereka yang berminat.

A Story of an Introduction Pt 2

This is another fictional story.

Another week, another day, another client, another venue.

We walked through the door and shake the manager's hand. We had an appointment a day before and he already expecting us.

"Please.. have a seat."

"Thank you."

"So, tell me ....."

And so we presented what we have to offer. He listened thoroughly.

Ten minutes later, he said, "It looks like you a have a very big and brilliant idea. I like it."

Making it short, we managed to secure the contract.

They happily gave us RM200k for their corporate video.. ! Hahhaha..

Yes, some clients can pay more than what we expected and some clients don't. However, these stories are fictional but it may happen, right ?

Life is full of colours... even black and white is another two colour.

So enjoy your life before it's too late.. be good, be young, be simple, be yourself... ! You will never too late to learn anything even if you know tomorrow will be the end of days.

A Story of an Introduction Pt 1

Hi. I just wanna share something.

This is a fictional short story without commercial breaks.

One day, one time, one venue.

"Tell us more about your ... umm.. what does it call.. In.. Info..." a client tried to spell the company's name, maybe to embarrass us. To make him not to look so stupid, we quickly corrected him by saying, "It's Info Planet Studio, sir.. ".

"Yeah.. whatever... ". A 45-year-old client coughs.

"Info Planet Studio, we provide information to the whole planet by using the power of visions and hearing through the eyes and ears of a small group but talented individuals."

"Hmmph.. ", the client's wife looked at the ceiling, tryied to hide her mouth. But we could tell that she was yawning.

So we continue...

"Here's our services :
1. Video coverage for all events
2. Corporate videos
3. TV Programs - mainly magazine & documentaries
4. Multimedia & Post Production
5. Photography
6. Seminar / Training (call us for more info)"

"So ???" a friend, who looks younger than the client asked.

Then we said :

We have experience in script writing, audio works & voice over for animation series. They are :
1. NOMI (RTM) - 26 eps
2. RIANG (RTM) - 26 eps
3. WIRACOPS (RTM) - 13 eps
4. ABUS (RTM) - 13 eps, continue 26 eps more
5. SIRAH ANBIYAA (InFusion Solutions SB) - 13 eps
6. Currently doing another 13 eps (title cannot tell yet)

"What about documentaries ?" the 45-year-old-man asked.

"Yes, we do documentaries for RTM too !
1. MINDA (RTM) hosted by Noris Ali - 13 eps
2. DI KAKI (RTM) hosted by Yusmal Ghazali & Shazleen Shah Bi - 13 eps
3. TAG (RTM) hosted by Hisham Salleh - Pilot eps DONE.

The client, his wife and his friend looked at each other.

We stared them, waited.

A couple of minute later, the client's wife said, " I need to go to the ladies."

She stood up without looking at us and without saying "excuse me sir, can i go to the toilet ?" - the first English phrase we used to learn during primary school. The client looked at his wife until she disappears.

Then he said, "Look.. "

We waited because we are very patience people.

He looked at his friend. His friend looked at him. They make some weird or more likely stupid look at each other.

"Actually, you are too experience. We need only a junior videographer to shoot our event. Actually we have our relative who can record the video for us for FREE...."

We already expected that answer. Then we asked them :

"Before that, may I know what type of events you want us to cover and how much is your budget for that event?" we probed.

"Actually, we just want a home video to shoot our RM150k wedding for our son. We already spent RM149k for the deco, pelamin, mekap, baju pengantin etc.. that's why we dont have big budget for video. RM350 can aa ?? Or else I ask my relative to record for us.. He is very good too.... !"

The 45-year-old man look at his friend with a very very big smile.

We quoted, "Your RM150k will last only 1 night.. but the video will lasts FOREVER. And you want to spend only RM350 to shoot that event ??"

We stand up, quickly shake their hand and said , "We'll take it !!!!"

They shocked ! They thought we cannot do it with a very tight small and tiny budget. But, hey.. we are INFO PLANET STUDIO.. we make things happen !!

And the client, his wife and his son, which we thought their friend, live happily ever after...

...and after we shoot their wedding, we decided to eat maggi mee to survive ...
