Sharing Session

I will be conducting a two-days sharing session about videography for a small group of students aged 10 to 17.

WHY ?

Taking into consideration that 'vlog' is a common thing in this era, I think it is a good session for those who want to express their thoughts, feelings or anything.

SHARING WHAT ?

Among the topics to be shared are :

1. Correct your eyes, knowing the camera.

2. Story building.

3. Angles and camera movements.

4. Positioning and compositioning.

5. Editing on camera.

6. You're on TV ! Tell your stories.

7. Introduction to videography and video entreprenuer.

Why introduction to videography to be shared during the last session ? Well, I have my own reasons.

WHO AM I ?

I was involved in TV/Video industry since 1995, after graduated from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia in Bachelor of Science (Human Development) .

I produced drama series in 1996 and then worked as a Programme Maker in Worldview Media SB, producing various 5-minutes documentaries about Malaysian culture, environment, people, dying business trade and many more until 1999.

Then, I worked in the 3rd largest bank in Malaysia, to expand my people's skills and networking.

Year 2005, I became a full time video entrepreneur and freelance till today.

Today, I write script, especially for local animation series, voice over, audio recording, video editing, videographer, scriptwriter, director, executive producer and would do anything in the field video and TV industry, local and international .

One thing that I think I will never do as far as TV/video industries are concerned - appear in front of the camera ! Because I hate to see myself on screen .. :)

(p/s : as of today, that's what I have in mind. Maybe someday, I will let my face to be appeared.. haha..)

Social Work

I have videographed a lot of events and functions. Some jobs, I was underpaid, some I only got free food, some I got free travelling which I categorised as social works, for individuals, companies, NGOs and also government agencies.

In 2009, I videographed Sambutan Hari Rela Peringkat Negeri Sabah, with support from MySkill Media Sdn Bhd or to be precised, sponsored by En Azmar Abd Hamid.

And recently, I had a makan-makan session with some old friends from college.

ABUS Won the Best Local Animation in Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2011

This animation series was written by me, voice directed by me and audio recorded by me. The concept was written somewhere in 2005, after i finished playing the Final Fantasy9 on Sony Playstation 1. I suddenly get the idea of combining those characters in their own world. Food was the only issue highlighted in Abus.

Then, I sent the concept paper to Cartoon Workshop Sdn Bhd. After waited for so many years, I thought nobody liked the concept. In 2009, Cartoon Workshop called me that I have to go to RTM to pitched the concept.

ABUS was animated by Cartoon Workshop Sdn Bhd and produced by Eurofine (M) Sdn. Bhd. It was aired in TV1, Radio Television Malaysia.

Di sudut lain, Hatta, Hasan dan Hajar sedang melepaskan penat selepas mengumpul makanan.

Haihh.. Penatnya hari ni !

Kerjalah dengan ikhlas..

HAJAR
Bila ikhlas, tentu penat kita cepat hilang.. Percayalah...

Tanpa mereka sedari, Boni dan Bana sedang mengintai gerak geri mereka dari sebalik pokok. Boni dapat idea.

BONI
Aha !

BANA
Hmm ?

Boni membisik kepada Bana.

BONI
Psstt.. Sok sek sok sek .. Syy.. !

Boni menyuruh Bana meminta tolong supaya Hatta, Hasan dan hajar beredar. Bila mereka beredar, Boni akan mengambil semua makanan. Bana gembira dan menutup mulut supaya ketawanya tidak didengari. Kemudian, mereka berdua mengangguk-angguk sambil excited. Bana beredar mencari tempat sesuai.
